YUNLING Artbook BOW

BOW《弓》 marks the first published personal art collection by Yunling, a concept artist and visual development artist whose professional work includes acclaimed productions such as Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Love, Death & Robots, and Blue Eye Samurai.

At the heart of the book is an original visual narrative following a young girl as she pursues a giant through her dreams. Along the way, the landscapes, encounters, emotions, and thoughts she experiences gradually form a world that feels both vast and deeply personal.

Yunling’s artwork is immediately recognizable for its bold, decisive brushwork and strong graphic structure. Rather than relying on excessive detail, his compositions use carefully controlled shapes, light, depth, and spatial relationships to create images with a striking sense of atmosphere and scale. The result is a visual language that feels sharp, restrained, cinematic, and distinctly his own.

The collection also features a foreword and recommendation by Alberto Mielgo, the acclaimed director behind the Love, Death & Robots episodes “The Witness” and “Jibaro,” creator of the Academy Award-winning short film The Windshield Wiper, and visual artist/art director known for works including Tron: Uprising.

For collectors of contemporary animation art, concept art, visual development, and personal artist books, BOW《弓》 offers a rare opportunity to experience Yunling’s artistic world beyond commercial production—a deeply personal collection centered on dreams, scale, solitude, and imagination.
